Neglected Child

As this new world of blogging has enfolded for me, I find myself sitting at the computer for hours on end. Yesterday as I was "blogging", the kids were at school and Taylor was left downstairs watching his "dance shows" (which happen to be the Wiggles) and a nice big bowl of fruit shnacks. Well, he only sits there until his shnacks are gone, so in approximately 3 minutes he was back up with me by the computer. He proceeded to bring me every truck he owned, threw a good portion of his toy box into the tub, dumped out Anna's beads in her room, flushed the toilet 30 times, pushed the on/off button on the computer twice, and dumped out the garbage in my room. I found myself getting quite frustrated with him until I remembered that it was MY job to take care of him. So, after a few more minutes on the computer, I took some pictures of the dumped out garbage, threw Taylor on my bed and proceeded to kiss and tickle him for a good 20 minutes. Then we read some "gooks", played ball, had lunch, and went down for a nap. My being on the computer caused 200% MORE work for me. So, I have pledged to try and only be on when Taylor is sleeping.
Yeah, we'll see how long that lasts!

Amy, you crack me up!! I find myself spending WAY too much time blogging as well. I need to update mine, so be on the look out. Keep up the running, I told your mom I would run the first half with you guys, but not the last half. Kiss your kids for me, they are so dang cute.

That is so funny... only because it sounds like most days here at my house! Blogging gets WAY to addicting.

Amy I am so glad that you are blogging. It makes it seem like you are not so far away. I start training for the wastsch back relay on Monday. I would love to do the run with you in September. We will see!

Amy, It's so good to hear from you. I can't believe how big your kids are, and that you have a new little one as well. they are so darn cute. Say "hello" to travis from Brad and I . I am totally jelous that you are in your second year of E.R. residency. Brad has to do his pay back time for the Airforce first. Then hopefully we will get in somewhere for our E.R. residency. We are just here in Des Moines for a transitional year. Anyways, Love your blog!! I will add you to our buddy list.

ah yes neglecting children whether it be for indulging in a good book, blogging, or something else. we all do it and i think it has little effect on children. hopefully at least! just strap him in a helmet, and give him a few other pads and im sure hell be fine. in an empty rubber room maybe. :)
